Since the 4th of July was on a Wednesday this year, we headed up to Lake Gaston the following weekend to celebrate with Andrew’s family. Unfortunately, the pictures are scarce because I spent most of the time trying to look after our mischievous pup, but we had a really great time swimming, boating (and getting pulled behind the boat on a big tube), jetskiing, and getting some sun.

Andrew and I made some bruschetta as an appetizer one night, and it was really simple and delicious!

The view of the lake from the house was breathtaking!

And the sun was an awesome shade of neon pink (which was unfortunately poorly captured on my phone).

Saturday evening, we went out on the boat to Eaton’s Ferry and watched the fireworks from the water. All in all, a very lovely weekend!
