Winter makes me want to cuddle up under the covers with a warm, squirmy puppy. I spend hours thinking about what kind of puppy to get, and actually looked through some puppy training books at Barnes and Noble today. In short, I will probably be one of those crazies that commissions pet photo shoots and/or portraits. How adorable are these illustrations by Itsuko Suzuki?!

Andrew’s parents asked him to dog-sit and house-sit this weekend, and we had a BLAST! I had such a good time with the pups, and can’t wait to have one of my very own.

We took the boys on a long walk in Downtown Chapel Hill and on UNC’s campus. Isn’t Andrew super cute with his two little white fluffies?

This one’s Ollie. He’s the chonker.

This one’s Ziggy, my little shadow. We had some quality bonding time this weekend. I didn’t even mind too much when he started scratching at my head to be let out at 6AM in the morning.

He even napped on my lap while I studied. What a cutie!!

Work has been nuts lately, which had led me to require quite a bit of decompressing. Today, I came across Boo’s facebook page! I can’t believe he’s already 5 years old, and still looks as cute as ever. I want one!! I am adding Pomeranian to the list of potential dog breeds as we speak!

Totally made my day :)

I headed down to Richmond this weekend to meet some of Andrew’s extended family, and to partake in the Annual Watkins King’s Dominion Extravaganza. Here are some of the highlights:

We stayed with Andrew’s cousin who has a 15 week-old puggle named Oakley. She is a fireball.

They also had a pet piggie named Marcel. He weighs 30 pounds and lives in the kitchen. He has holiday outfits and can stand on his hind legs. True story. Also, I kinda want one now.

On Saturday, we celebrated his great aunt’s 90th bday with a Vegas themed party. He was asked to be Elvis, which was HIGH-larious!! 

That night, Michigan won 35-31 against Notre Dame, with 3(!!) game-changing touchdowns in the last minute or so (the last touch down was with 2 seconds left). Andrew was pretty fired up about it. Go Blue!

And last but not least, was King’s Dominion on Sunday. We got our brains rattled, and had an awesome time doing it. We ended the day by posing with Snoopy, who was being very inappropriate.

Yup…those two are definitely related.
